About Me

My name is Cindy Bonnie Perez and I was born in Grand Rapids, MI. I moved to Cape Coral, Florida with my family when I was 11 years old and have been here ever since. I am currently pursuing a dual major in Business Management and Marketing with a minor in Advertising. After graduating high school in 2004, I spent four years at Edison State College. In the Fall of 2008, I transferred to Florida Gulf Coast University where I finally declared my major. After I graduate in the Fall of 2012, I intend on starting my MBA.

Interests

I love to travel. I have been to nearly every state from Michigan down to Florida. I especially love traveling out of the country.

When I was 17, my mother and I took a two week trip to Paris, France. From there, we also managed to visit London, England.

When I was 18, we also went to Cancun, Mexico and spent a week there. More recently, last year, a friend of mine and I took a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. Next year I plan on visiting the Dominican Republic and Italy. For every trip I take, I make sure to take lots of pictures because I always add them to my scrap book. Other places I would like to visit are Cuba, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Greece, Spain, and Germany.

Professional Work Experience

Most people are often surprised when I tell them that I have been working at the same company for 10 years. At the age of 16 I was hired at the TJ Maxx in Cape Coral, FL. I have managed to work my way up the "Corporate Ladder" as they say. I am currently enrolled in the conpany's Foundation of Leadership Program and aspire to work in the Human Resources department in the corporate office in the near future.

This job has provided me with a very solid work foundation and has exposed me to a variety of situations in which I have been able to use my strengths to the best of my ability.

Samples of Work: 

In the Spring 2012 semester we had to create an advertising campaign for the SUMSEEDS product for Integrated Marketing Communications. The campaign was composed by four team members and presented at the end of the semester. 

Fall 2011 semester we had to create a team intervention for 5 Vice Presidents of a company who is having trouble with their communication skills. The intervention our team created consists of 5 modules that incorporate Computer Mediated Communication and Face to Face Communication in order to establish and build relationships among these VPs and enhance their communication skills. The first sample provided is a layout of a webpage I created for a final project in Professional Writing. The concept for the business was a grocery delivery business. The final project was presented in class for a grade. Click on the link below to view the layout.

The second sample provided is a feasability analysis that was composed by myself along with two other group members for Enterpreneurship. Please click on the following link provided below to view the final report.

The third sample provided is 3 column flyer used for my father's italian/cuban restaurant. The flyer was used as sample that was taken to a graphic designer to produce the final product. It was used for promotional proposes and increased awareness of breakfast offered by the restaurant, which resulted in additional approximately $400 in sales a week.
